Supporting our Schools

Investing in Oklahoma’s Greatest Resource – Our Students.

In 2018, the Oklahoma wind industry paid more than $80 million in ad valorem taxes across 23 counties. In fact, in 12 counties the wind industry is the No. 1 tax payer.

The wind industry has positively impacted 191 school districts through the ad valorem taxes paid and also through school sponsorships and grants.

These investments have successfully removed many of these schools from the state formula funding aid list, therefore freeing funds for other districts across the state.
